Bravado Youth Film Festival

Young budding film makers get your cameras rolling – the shire’s Youth Services Bravado Film Festival 2008 is taking applications early February.

Now in its sixth year, the Bravado Youth Film Festival has been unveiling the talents of young film makers aged 12-25 years throughout the shire.

The film festival is organised by the shire’s Youth Services team to provide an opportunity for participants to learn about film making with access to the services of an experienced film editor.

The Bravado Youth Film Festival is a chance for young people to discover or display their talents for directing and producing short films.

The festival is free to enter, and entrants will receive a mini digital video cassette to record their film and up to six hours production time with a professional film editor to prepare their film for the premiere. There will also be opportunities for entrants to attend free film workshops to increase their skill levels.

The Premiere will be held at Healesville Memorial Hall in November 2008 with great prizes up for grabs, and great entertainment for the whole family!

Entries must meet the following guidelines of Bravado:

  • Each film must be made specifically for Bravado
  • Each film must be no longer than five minutes in length
  • Each film must contain the Bravado Signature Item (BSI), which is changed each year!
  • Films must not contain explicit language, violence or sexual references – PG rating applies

If you’d like to get involved please contact Youth Services on 9294 6716.
